Resources

What are the resources

The resources are tools that provide information, templates and discussion questions to assist with reviewing and planning your school curriculum.  They cover the following topics: consulation, pedagogy, gathering evidence and planning. They give you a starting point to begin building your school curriculum.

Who are they for

These resources are for principals, curriculum leaders and others involved in curriculum review and design.

    How to use them

Each set of tools has a guide.  The tools are designed to help facilitate discussion with your staff, board and wider school community. The tools can be used as a set or adapted to individual school needs.

    Consultation
Who in your school community has an interest in school curriculum?  How might your school engage interested groups to have input into the curriculum review process? What methods work best to engage your stakeholders?
Pedagogy –  teaching and learning approaches
What is our understanding of school wide pedagogy? What would we need to do to develop a school-wide pedagogy? How do we teach to promote learning for all students?
    Gathering evidence
Where is your school at?  What is the current curriculum provision?  This information will set the context for future curriculum planning that will best support student learning.  You’ll obtain evidence to ensure your students have a coherent and connected curriculum that supports their achievement
    Planning
Make use of the information you've collected, bring priorities together, confirm appropriate coverage across learning areas and themes or concepts, and plan future action.
Progress to the new curriculum - Enterprise Education
Watch interviews with principals, teachers, and students, and find out, what enterprise is, how to successfully implement it into your school, linking it with key competencies, and the benefits of business and community groups engaging with schools.
